CPR+AED Course aims to empower individuals to step forward and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) when called upon. Many studies have shown that performing CPR and use of the AED can improve the chance of survival of the casualty. In fact, for every minute of delayed treatment, the chance of survival drops by 7-10%.
This course covers only CPR+AED. If you require First Aid Certification with CPR+AED, you may be looking for the Standard First Aid course instead.
NOTE
During registration, the course will be shown as 3 days long.
Day 1-2 - For you to receive access to the eLearning modules to complete the Theory component
Day 3 - Actual day of your in-person practical and assessment session at SERA
At the end of the CPR+AED course, the trainees will be able to:
Theory Assessment
Participants will have to complete 10 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) test and need to score at least 80% (8/10) to successfully pass the course.
If a participant fails the theory assessment, the participant will be given 1 more attempt at the theory assessment.
Practical Assessment
Participants will need to demonstrate that they are competent in the skills of

Online Learning (Approximately 1 hour) + Onsite Practical & Theory Assessment (3 contact hours)
The training syllabus and assessment guidelines meet the minimum standard set by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council.
Accredited by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), valid for 2 years from date of completion
As part of the assessment requirements, participants must do 2 minutes of continuous chest compressions and this can be physically strenuous. Participants experiencing the following medical conditions are advised not to participant.
If you proceed with the course, please seek your doctor’s advice for the green light to continue, and produce the doctor’s letter. If you opt out of the CPR+AED assessment during the course, you will not pass the course and instead, receive a Certificate of Attendance.
